.NET Framework Version

Specifies the version of the .NET Framework which will be used to build the project. This is not the version that the project is build against, only the version of MSBuild which is invoked. Unless there is a specific reason to use an older version, it is recommended that you leave this value set to (auto detect), which will use the latest available version.
